Pet Beds: Comparing Bolster Beds, Cushions and Elevated Mesh Beds

A pet bedding assortment can include several constructions without relying on a different color for every product. Bolster beds create a raised outline around a filled sleeping area, cushions offer a lower profile, and elevated mesh beds use a frame. Comparing these structures gives wholesale buyers a clearer starting point for deciding which sizes and materials belong in their collection.

The examples below come from HBYT's existing Pet Bed & Mats range. They show how three products carrying an M size label can have different dimensions, materials and packing arrangements. Use the individual item number and measurements when building a shortlist.

Compare three pet bed constructions

All dimensions in this comparison are in centimetres and refer to the listed M option. Other size options remain on each product page.

Use dimensions before size labels

The canvas bed has raised back and side bolsters with a lowered front. When reviewing this structure, distinguish its outside dimensions from the space inside the bolsters. If your retail listing needs a usable sleeping-area measurement, include that measurement in the sample brief so it can be checked directly.

The corduroy cushion is listed in five sizes, all with an 8 cm height. This makes length and width the main dimensional differences within that model's current range. The elevated mesh bed has three listed sizes, each 19 cm high, while its frame length and width change. A size letter provides a convenient option name; the measurements explain the product.

Build a shortlist around clear differences

Write one reason for including each selected bed. For example, the canvas bolster model could represent a sofa-style outline, the corduroy cushion a low-profile fabric format, and the mesh model an elevated frame construction. This gives the collection a structure that buyers can explain through photographs and specifications.

For every selected option, record the item number, dimensions, color and proposed quantity. Compare the cover, filling or frame construction separately from the appearance. For the final product listing, include any required care instructions or product-specific performance information in the sample brief, and review the supporting details alongside the selected bed.

Check packing by the chosen size

The three examples use different packing patterns. The canvas bed's listed carton quantities are six, five and five pieces for S, M and L. The corduroy cushion has five size-specific packing rows, while the mesh bed is listed at one piece per carton. Use the relevant row when planning an order, and review revised packing if the dimensions, fabric, filling or frame change.
