Wholesale Pet Supplies: Organizing a Multi-Product Inquiry

A wholesale pet supplies inquiry often contains more than one product. A buyer may want pet beds in several sizes, a cat tree and a selection of toys for the same collection. The useful starting point is one organized list with separate records for each item and variant. This keeps the complete range visible while allowing materials, quantities and packing to be reviewed individually.

Use one row for each distinct buying requirement

Start from the HBYT product catalog and record the item number for every shortlisted model. Keep two sizes of the same bed on separate rows when their quantities or packing requirements differ. Do the same for a color change, a different label or a different retail pack. A product name alone may not identify the exact version you need.

For example, the Speckled ETPU Dog Toy Ball, YTP-4-00006, has three listed diameters. Asking for a total number of balls without a diameter split leaves the quantity allocation open. The same principle applies when a bed is selected in more than one size. Put the total range together, but keep those choices visible.

A practical structure for the inquiry

FieldWhat to recordReason
Product referenceItem number, product name and product linkIdentifies the shortlisted model
VariantSelected size, color or requested material changeSeparates versions within the same model
QuantityRequested pieces for that particular variantSupports a line-by-line quotation
PresentationLabel, artwork and individual pack requirementsShows which items share a retail treatment
Carton arrangementAny requested separation or mixed-carton proposalMakes the packing request explicit
Open decisionThe question or alternative still to be reviewedKeeps a proposal distinct from an approved specification

This is an inquiry structure, not a standard order quantity or a confirmed packing arrangement. Complete it with the quantities you actually want and mark unresolved choices clearly. If two options are alternatives, label them as alternatives so they are not unintentionally treated as two required order lines.

Separate project information from item information

Put your company, target market, intended sales channel and preferred arrival window at the project level. Then keep product dimensions, color splits, artwork versions and quantities on the relevant item rows. A shared brand does not automatically mean that a fabric bed, a cat tree and a toy should use the same pack design or pack dimensions.

When considering a combined shipment, ask how item readiness and packing will be coordinated. Keep any request for mixed cartons separate from a request to ship different cartons together. They are different packing questions and should be reviewed against the selected products.

Review the list before sending

Use the website's Inquiry List to collect products, then review the selected items before completing your enquiry. Check that quantities refer to pieces or the intended unit, confirm the chosen variants and add the requirements that are specific to each model. If you revise a choice, make the change clear in the list or message rather than relying on an earlier version.

For each selected item, confirm availability and production or dispatch timing with HBYT during quotation review.

You can select from Pet Bed & Mats, cat furniture, toys and other existing categories in the same enquiry. Each item still needs its own specification and order conditions. For a broader explanation of the information needed at enquiry stage, use the existing RFQ checklist.

Buyer questions

Does the combined quantity meet the minimum for every product?

Do not assume that it does. Request the applicable minimum and any size or color split conditions for each item. A project total cannot replace that review.

Can I include products that still need customization?

Yes. Identify the reference item and describe the proposed change on its row. HBYT supports customization across its products; the exact scope is reviewed for the chosen item or design brief.

Send the complete range

Send your multi-product inquiry to HBYT with the item list, variant quantities and target market. Include any open questions about shared branding, packing or delivery coordination so they can be considered together.
