Repeat Pet Product Orders: Version and Change Checklist

A repeat order should identify the approved product version as clearly as a first order. Use this checklist when reordering the same model, adding a color or size, changing packaging, or asking for a revised component.

Identify the Previous Approved Version

Provide the HBYT item number, the previous order reference you want the team to check, and the approved specification and sample version. Include the applicable material, size and color references, label artwork, retail-packaging files and carton information. An item number alone may not describe a previously customized version.

List Each Requested Change Separately

• Product changes: record the current requirement, proposed requirement and affected size or color. Include revised measurements or annotated images where useful.
• Artwork changes: identify the file version, affected labels, instructions, barcodes and packaging. Mark which older files must no longer be used.
• Order changes: list quantities by model, size and color, the packing assortment, destination and required arrival window.

Ask which changes need another sample, packaging proof, quotation or product-document review. A material substitution or structural change should not be treated as identical to repeating an approved color.

Confirm the Release for Production

Keep a single written record showing what is approved, what remains open and who will supply the missing information. Confirm the final sample reference, specification, artwork and packing version together before production follow-up begins. If a later change is requested, record its effect on the agreed scope, quantity, cost and timing.

Make the Handover Useful to the Receiving Team

Check model and barcode identification, carton marks, quantity per carton and any mixed-size or mixed-color arrangement. Give the receiving team the same final packing information used for the order. Use the agreed quality-control checkpoints and keep any requested reports linked to the correct model and version.
